RODRIGO TORRES

Rodrigo Torres (El Salvador, 2002.) is not trying to reinvent the wheel. He is simply trying to capture a flavor.

Operating from his studio in Germany, Torres treats painting like a daily meal—a biological necessity rather than a career choice. He works with simple but heavy ingredients: the tropical saturation of his home, the gray silence of migration, and the raw texture of memory.

His kitchen is currently serving three main courses:

  • The Weight: The physical burden of labor.

  • The Loss: The bittersweet taste of childhood.

  • The Status Quo: The masks we wear to sit at the table.

Torres paints because he has to. His work is a visual diary, seasoned with intuition and served without pretension. He invites you to consume the reality, not just the image.
